Unusual piece – not many enamelled pieces survived. This piece is about 2" high and is one of several items that had been (rather hazardously and loosely) displayed at a Russian church under a large pedestal mounted icon. Things were gathering dust and were being oxidized and discolored. In the 1980s, I designed and built a glazed frame that is securely attached to the pedestal. Regards, |
