Dear Jack,
This kindjal is absolutely sublime. Laminated steel blade of typical Lesghin cross-section. The sheath is gilt silver, whose openwork makes visible the ivory panels surrounding the blade. Ivory hilt is decorated with fine inlaid gold design. The fittings are most probably Kubachi work, c.1890.
Regards,
George
